Dinner with Renée Amilcar, President UITP

During this dinner get-together for our members only, we will have the pleasure of welcoming our IWF sister,Renée Amilcar.

Since 2023, Renée Amilcar​ has been the first women president of the International Union of Public Transport (UITP). Founded 140 years ago, UITP is a major international organization that brings together all stakeholders in public transport and sustainable modes of transport. Its head office is in Brussels.

Renée is a kind-hearted woman and an exceptional leader who has degrees in respiratory therapy, industrial engineering and business administration! She never ceases to impress with her great achievements and… her modesty. She was the first woman appointed to Head bus maintenance at the STM. Winner of the "Leadership, Exceptional Woman" award at the 2018 Mercuriades of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Quebec, first woman to manage OC Transpo in Ottawa, and as mentioned above, first woman elected president of the International Union of Public Transport (UITP).

"Champion" of sustainable mobility, Renée will talk to us about the key issues in this sector that concern us all.
