Judith Jones was the publishing visionary who in her youth pulled Anne Frank's diary out of the slush pile and went on to launch Julia Child, among other renowned cooks whose culinary wisdom lines members' shelves. All this and stellar fiction too, yet she struggled to be paid what she was worth and achieve recognition for her impact.
