Biography
H. E. Madeleine Chenette officially took up her duties as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the OECD in Paris in November 2019.
Ms. Chenette joined SECOR INC. in 1994 and held various positions until she became a partner in 2000. Between 1999 and 2003, Ms. Chenette was the global head of transformation. Subsequently, Ms. Chenette led the evolution of the company, which became global head of SECOR business solutions from 2005 to 2009. She then served as chair of the board of directors of the SECOR group and, in 2011, as a member of the board of directors of Transat A.T. Inc., an integrated tour operator. In 2012, she led the transaction between KPMG Canada and SECOR and became partner and head of national strategy advisory services. She joined Accenture in 2017 as a member of the Canadian Executive Committee – Montreal Product Industry Leader and Managing Director – overseeing strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations services.
Committed to her community, she was president of the Herstreet Montreal fundraiser, president of the board of directors of the Canadian Club of Montreal and led a voluntary strategic reflection for the Steering Committee on Quebec Artificial Intelligence, Conseil advisory of the innovation economy of Quebec and several other causes.
During the "Les Talenteuses" gala, the Association of Women in Finance of Quebec awarded her the Inspiration Prize in 2011 and, in 2013, the Great Mentor Prize. She has been named one of Canada's 100 Most Powerful Women several times.
