The IWF Winter Wonderland Retreat will be filled with winter activities, including cross country skiing, snow shoeing and and hikes (all equipment will be provided), campfires (both indoor and outdoor), networking, long table dinners and, most importantly, relaxation and wellness activities such as yoga and saunas.
Camp Yowochas is located on a 62-acre waterfront property about an hour west of Edmonton. The camp's main lodge was designed in the early 1980s by renowned architect and IWF Edmonton member Vivian Manasc; it was one of her first projects.
YWCA Edmonton has been operating outdoor education programming on the shores of Wabamun Lake since 1916. Its current facility runs year-round; during the summers, it hosts about 1,200 children from across the Prairies.
Retreat attendees will stay in the camp's dorms (hostel style beds). Think of it as away camp for adults. Ticket price includes food, staff-led activities and accommodations.
